Dreams do come true.

Making lists.
checking them twice.
adding things nice.
taking away pointless things.

I feel like it's almost Christmas again.
2013 has come in with a sweet, sweet song.

I always encourage my husband to have a word for the year as well.
SEPARATE from my word.
He was just recently in Kansas City for the One Thing Conference and he came home with a sparkle in his eye...
he has his WORD.
God gave him the word
"Marriage"

I cried when I heard this word.
He informed me that it was about OUR marriage, but also our marriage with the Father.
A beautiful picture.

I was looking for a Scripture verse to help add FUEL to my fire for 2013.
And...this one showed up.
"SO I run with PURPOSE in EVERY step. I am not just shadow-boxing."
1 Corinthians 9:26

In the MESSAGE version
it says
26-27 I don’t know about you, but I’m running hard for the finish line. I’m giving it everything I’ve got. No sloppy living for me! I’m staying alert and in top condition. I’m not going to get caught napping, telling everyone else all about it and then missing out myself.

We need to add fuel to our fire every morning if we want to see our "word" get done for this year.
What are you doing to help your vision, goals, resolutions, get done?
What are you starting today that help you complete it by December 2013?
Purpose.
Asking myself
Is this worth my time?
Have I prayed over this?
WIll this bring my life or death?
After all.
EVERYTHING is the Lord's.
He's just letting us borrow it.

Be encouraged today friends.

  1. Having a word for the year is an interesting concept - and in a way a hard one. I have such a hard time narrowing things down to just a few sentences, let alone a single word. At the same time though, I can see how it can be useful to have one thing to focus on and keep you going.

  4. Hi! I found your blog from Penguins, Pasta and Polka Dots.

One of the first things I look at in a new blog is how many followers one has and I either run away in intimidation of the hundreds of followers one has or I check things out if the numbers are a little less...scary. I don't know why I do that. lol I think I may miss out on some great blogs so I have to get over that.

I did fall in love with your blog and didn't have a chance to get scared because although I looked hard for a list of followers... I didn't find any. Yeah for me!

I'm one of your newest followers now. I'm curious on where you are at in your adoption process. My husband and I would like to adopt in the next 5 years.
