Matthew 7:24-27.

24-25"These words I speak to you are not incidental additions to your life, homeowner improvements to your standard of living. They are foundational words, words to build a life on. If you work these words into your life, you are like a smart carpenter who built his house on solid rock. Rain poured down, the river flooded, a tornado hit—but nothing moved that house. It was fixed to the rock.
26-27"But if you just use my words in Bible studies and don't work them into your life, you are like a stupid carpenter who built his house on the sandy beach. When a storm rolled in and the waves came up, it collapsed like a house of cards."
Today. Let it be a day full of building on the Rock. Let it be the day you are solid enough in your thinking that you don't waver on your answers.
Lately, I have felt like a fish out of water.
yes. no. maybe. I am not sure. yes. no. maybe. yes. no. i'm sorry, we can't. we can! oops. we can't.
Every summer I go through this. Too many things to do, not enough time.
*breathe*
This summer is all about our family. We are rebalancing some things in our life that have been WAAAAAAAAAAAA A A A A Y off.
More time together around the dinner table, picnics at Clear Lake, more daddy & son time, more daughter & mommy time. etc. etc.
For far too long I have been that foolish man on the sand with my days. Not anymore.
Today, this Monday is all about LIFE.
