About midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God, and the other prisoners were listening to them.
Around 11, my son wakes up for his feeding. I pull myself out of bed to get to him before he wakes up my sleeping, hard working, loving husband. We walk to the living room, plop down in my BIG comfy rocker, and begin to satisfy his empty stomach.
While I am listening to his big gulps....I click on my i-tunes searching for that song that will bring refreshment to my spirit and quiet my soul. I have made a playlist for my late nights. These sleepless nights have brought not only tired days to me, but they have awakened my relationship with the Lord. I read my Bible, pray for people, worship, and seek God. I was reminded of this scripture. It is in a song by Sarah Kelly that is in my playlist. When this verse jumped at me from the pages, it was as if the Lord said..." You are breaking your chains." In the verses following 25 it talks about how their chains fell to the ground.
Back in July, Zach & I took our leadership to Youth Conference in Kansas City. There was a man there named Joel Stockstill. He prayed over me 3 words.
"RESTORATION IN WORSHIP"
It didn't make any sense then, but it sure does now- well, it's beginning to. I am sure there is more.
I am excited to see what these sleepless nights bring.
Give me the strength to continue.
